The Problem

Rain and sun had worked on the bottom of this sliding patio door for years: the lower rail and the sill under it had gone soft, the paint was flaking off in sheets, and the door was starting to bind on its track. A door company would quote a full replacement — easily a five-figure job with new framing.

What We Did

We stripped the decayed wood back to sound material and rebuilt the bottom section on-site, matched to the original profile, then sealed it watertight. The track was cleaned and the door glides again. Total cost: a small fraction of a new patio door.
