What We Fix

Glass Repair: What We Fix

Fogged double-pane unit replaced with a clear insulated glass unit

Foggy / Failed-Seal Glass

The haze between the panes won't wash off because it's inside the sealed unit — the factory seal failed and moisture got in. We build a new insulated unit to your exact measurements with rigid aluminum spacers, fresh desiccant and butyl seals, from $198, and swap it into the frame you already own. Clear again, permanently.

Made-to-measure double-pane insulated glass unit being fitted into an existing sash

Double-Pane Glass

Double-pane units are a replaceable part, not a window sentence: whatever brand, age or size, we fabricate the sealed unit to measure and set it in your existing sash from $198. Frames, trim and siding stay untouched — only the glass changes.

Triple-pane insulated glass unit prepared for installation

Triple-Pane Glass

Triple-pane units fail the same way doubles do — one seal lets go and the fog moves in. We build triple-pane replacements to size as well, quoted per opening in writing. If your home has them, you bought them for the efficiency; the replacement keeps it.

Broken window pane removed before a new pane is cut to size

Broken / Cracked Glass

A cracked or shattered pane is a measure-and-cut job, not a catastrophe: single panes cut to size, sealed units rebuilt from $198, and the opening secured the same day if weather demands it. Bring us the ugliest break you've got — glass is the most fixable thing in the house.

Low-E coated insulated glass unit upgrade in an existing window frame

Low-E Energy Glass

The energy performance of a window lives in the glass, and glass swaps. A Low-E coated insulated unit in your existing frame cuts summer heat gain and winter heat loss from $198 — most of a replacement window's benefit at a tenth of its price.

Tempered safety glass panel installed in a door-side opening

Tempered Safety Glass

Glass in doors, sidelights and low openings is required by code to be tempered — heat-treated to crumble into pebbles instead of blades. When we replace glass in those spots, tempered goes back in, period. It costs a little more to make and it's the cheapest insurance a busy house can buy.

Know Your Glass

Four Kinds of Glass Live in Your House — Each Replaces Differently

Ordinary annealed glass fills most windows — cut to size, set, done. Tempered safety glass lives where code demands it: doors, sidelights, low and bathroom openings — heat-treated to crumble into pebbles instead of blades, always replaced like-for-like. Insulated units are the double-pane sandwiches that fog when their seal dies. Low-E carries an invisible coating that manages heat. We fabricate and stock all four, so the right glass goes back in the right opening — never the cheap wrong one.

  • Annealed — standard panes, cut to size

  • Tempered — safety locations, required by code, always honored

  • Insulated units — built with aluminum spacers and butyl seals

  • Low-E — energy coating matched so windows look alike

Same-Day Security

Broken Glass Gets Secured the Day You Call

Storm, baseball, break-in — when glass fails suddenly, the first job is making the opening safe and weatherproof, cleanly, the same day. Then the measured replacement is fabricated on our bench and installed within days. One written price covers the whole arc; the emergency part isn't a surprise line item, and homes and storefronts get the same treatment.

  • Openings secured same-day — cleanly, not scrap plywood

  • Replacement fabricated in-house, installed within days

  • Homes and storefronts, one written price up front

  • Scratched glass replaced, not polished — we're honest about it

How Glass Repair Works

Secure, measure, fabricate, install — glass in four moves.

01/Secure & Identify

03/Bench-Built

Units and panes fabricated to the millimeter — tempered lites heat-treated to spec.

04/Set, Sealed, Checked

Installed clean, inspected in daylight, backed by a written workmanship warranty.

Transparent Pricing

How Much Does Glass Repair Cost?

Priced by the pane, not by the panic:

  • Insulated (double-pane) units — from $198
  • Single panes — cut to size, quoted per opening
  • Tempered safety glass — quoted to spec, always used where code requires

WowFix is a great company for repairs on doors and windows. I had two rotten double-door frames that they rebuilt. They communicate well and the pricing was fair.

Glass Repair — FAQ

Just the glass — that's the trade. Panes and sealed units are parts; frames are furniture. Unless the frame itself is rotted or racked, glass damage of any kind ends at a glass price, from $198.
Before We Arrive

How to Prepare for Your WowFix Window Repair Visit

  1. 1

Photograph each problem window in daylight

Snap a clear photo of every foggy, cracked or stuck window in natural light. Morning light shows fog between the panes best and lets us quote faster — often before we arrive.

  2. 2

Note what each window is doing wrong

Jot down the symptom per window — fog between the glass, won't open or stay up, draft, cracked pane, or rotted frame. It tells us whether it's a glass-only swap (from $198) or hardware/wood work.

  3. 3

Clear about three feet in front of each window

Move furniture, blinds and décor back roughly three feet so our crew can measure and work safely. It keeps the visit quick and your things out of the way.

  4. 4

Find any window brand or paperwork

If you have the original window brand, a sticker in the frame, or install paperwork, set it aside. It's not required, but it helps us match glass and parts on the first trip.

  5. 5

Make sure we can reach the windows outside

Unlock gates, secure pets, and clear the exterior path to the windows. Most glass-unit work is done from both sides, so outside access keeps everything one visit.
